ARTICLE MARKETING AND SEO

ARTICLE REWRITING – ARTICLE MARKETING AND SEO

Unique articles represent an effective and inexpensive way to integrate keywords and key phrases onto a website, as well as attract backlinks naturally. Search engine optimization (SEO), a method for enhancing the on-page attributes that search engines will ultimately score your page on, will almost always credit “natural” actions higher than forced or man-made actions. The differences can be subtle, or painfully obvious.

One example is the number of backlinks pointing to your site. When a search engine spiders your site, it counts both inbound and outbound links. As an example, on this visit the spiders counted 15 inbound links and 40 outbound links. When they spider your site the next week, they count 115 inbound links and the same 40 outbound links. What’s wrong with this picture? Even worse, many of the new inbound links are from pharmacy sites, dating sites and “1st page listing on Google” for $99 sites! Since the number of outbound links stayed the same there probably wasn’t a trade. That leaves buying links. If there is one thing Google really dislikes… it’s the buying of links. With this information so easy to find, I am often bewildered at the number of people who still try it, despite the consequences, and when caught say, “But I didn’t know…”

Your goal, of course, is to get your page listed on the first page of the search results.  It is important to not over use (spamming), or under use (not visible enough) the key words you want to show up under in the search engines. This is known as Keyword Density. There are differing opinions as to what is the optimal density for keywords or key phrases for the search engines to correctly categorize your website. Like so many other things in SEO, eventually you will come up with your own density formula through experimentation, trial and error.

Before We Jump Into Bed Together…

logo

To everyone that posted or commented during these last two weeks, I am putting the finishing touches on a “Bundle of Bucks”software, info-products and no-cost membership’s worth quite a bit…that you deserve!   (I hesitate to throw out dollar amounts because to most people (myself included) they seem so … exaggerated! LOL)

To those of you that posted comments or replies and haven’t seen them since…

Rather than go “covert” and try to slip one past us, why not try the direct approach? You could end up being a Guest Blogger- representing any and all of your products and programs! It has to get tiring posting and never seeing your posts show up…yes?

DO NOT LISTEN to supposed “goo-roos” who have never posted, tweeted, played Farmville or actually had to pay for something they lent their “good” name to in a testimonial. They are selling you down the river when they teach you to “weasel your way in” to a blog or a community, and then start hitting them with links, squeeze pages, etc. Most of us blog owners have been around for awhile, and a lot of us came from SEO or Traffic and Content Generation backgrounds.

As far as taking shortcuts: You will be discovered. You will be ostracized. Your information twill be passed on  to a few friends, who will share it with a few friends, who will talk about you over drinks with a few more friends… You know that graph that list-builders like to show you what would happen “if” 4 people sponsored 4 people who each personally sponsored 4 people???

Only this time it really will happen…in reverse. As your IP, Screen names, Real Name, PayPal Addy and more get passed around like the latest Google Loophole, you’ll soon discover that Marketing on the Web can be a very cold, dark and lonely place…

Just like Social Networking, this is about Relationship Building. Which means that before we end up in bed together, how about we get to know each other first? Time-wise you may spend an extra two weeks before you get that first post green-lighted.

But hey! Look! No “No-Follow”, a full article (not just a post), and REAL, LIVE LINKS!!!

I don’t know about you, but to me that definitely seems worth the wait. And in this business, I can use all of the relationships that will have me…

Spin Your Content, But Carefully

logo

For those of you who just happened to stumble onto this article and are starting from the very beginning (a very good place to start), I’ll begin with a brief answer to the question:  What is the purpose of article spinning?

We sometimes spin articles so that we can get added rewards as a result of the effort that we put into creating a good piece of web writing.  We don’t want the exact same article’s publication on a large number of sites, because content that is too similar will not be of any value to anybody involved.  Our readers certainly don’t want to repeatedly be asked to read the very same article, the websites risk getting no value from a duplicate article since the search engines try not to list the same article multiple times in any search results and we online marketers, in turn have no chance of getting all the traffic or search engine optimization (SEO) value through our links that we could have otherwise received.

Content or article spinning is really nothing more than rewriting the article multiple times…except that it is a lot easier, although still somewhat time consuming.  What we actually do is rewrite the content one chunk at a time.  The size of the chunk that you rewrite at one time, is up to you as you prepare for spinning.  We essentially provide alternatives for each of those “chunks” from which a software program will randomly select.  We might provide our software alternatives for entire paragraphs, for entire sentences, for phrases and for separate words.  We can even build our spinning in a way that will result in article with different numbers of paragraphs.

A technique that most good spinning software options permit is called nested spinning.  That is simply placing alternatives within other alternatives.  As an example of this, let’s use this as my first sentence: “I adore my new green hat.”  I could rewrite two substitutions for that.  The first might be, “I surely love my green hat that I bought recently.”  A second alternative could be broken into two sentences to achieve even more variety.  “I purchased a new hat not long ago.  It’s a very cheery bright green.”  When these are presented to my spinning software, it will randomly choose one of the three alternatives for each of the many article versions that it provides.

Prospects Don’t Always Behave As We Guess

logo

I don’t know if every web marketer is similar to me. “I wish I had known then what I know now,” I frequently lament. The “then,” of course, is when I first ventured into the Internet business arena. I could fill an entire book with the idiotic errors that I made due to ignorance. In truth, I could fill a multi-volume set. It’s a bit embarrassing.

Occasionally I try to keep new marketers from repeating my mistakes. Tips that if I had known them at the time I began my first Internet business venture I could have started making a decent income sooner, could have spent less time by doing it the right way the first time and wouldn’t have to tell embarrassing stories about myself now. I hope you find these useful.

My tip for today is this: Recognize that any page of your website is likely to be a landing page.

Starting an Online Business On A Budget

logo

Have you or someone you know been affected by the down economy? You’re not alone, many people have. I’ve seen no other reason more so than the economy for people starting their own businesses. If you’re thinking about doing the same but are unsure of how to get started, then this article will help you.

The first thing you want to do before running to the computer and signing up for the first make money online opportunity you come across is to stop and think this through. To many times consumers are greedy and gobble up any ad that promises to make them rich in a short amount of time. If this is your mindset, then you’ll soon be separated from your money!

Before starting any venture, realize that an online business is just like any other business you would start. Remain sensible and resist the urge to jump on every offer you see. Develop a business plan for your online business and keep up with it. That’s one of the secrets to a successful Internet business.
